ANALYSIS OF OUR BED TAX. >> SO THIS REPORT REFLECTS THE MONTH THAT THE BED TAX WERE COLLECTED FOR.

NOT WHEN THEY WERE COLLECTED. SO IT'S LIKE A TWO MONTH -- WE'RE BEHIND TWO MONTHS. SO HOPEFULLY THAT MAKES SENSE.

IT'S BY OCCUPANCY TIME, NOT BY COLLECTION TIME.

FISCAL YEAR 2018-19. YOU'LL SEE THAT WE WRAPPED UP THE YEAR GAINING 16.18% IN BED TAX COLLECTIONS.

KEEP IN MIND THERE WERE ONLY -- THE MAJORITY OF THE YEAR WAS AT THE 5%. THERE WERE ONLY TWO MONTHS THAT WERE NOT -- THAT WERE NEW TO BEING COLLECTED AT 5%.

DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? >> YES, FIRST FULL YEAR WE'VE

CHECKED THE 5%. >> RIGHT.

IN THE FALL WE HAD A GOOD FALL. SEPTEMBER WAS UP 6.7% IN BED TAX COLLECTIONS. I WILL TELL YOU THAT MY CONVERSATIONS WITH THE HOTELS AT OUR LAST QUARTERLY MEETING THAT WAS THE RATE IS GOING DOWN AND MORE ROOMS ARE BEING SOLD WHICH WE'RE WORKING ON GETTING THE REPORT.

I CAN'T TELL YOU FROM JUST THE COLLECTIONS WHETHER THAT IS HAPPENING OR NOT ACROSS THE COUNTY.

THAT IS JUST WHAT SOME OF THE HE TELLS ARE SAYING.

WE'RE WORK DILIGENTLY ON TRYING TO GET THAT REPORT SO WE CAN TELL THAT YOU REGULARLY. IT'S A DEMAND -- SUPPLY AND DEMAND QUESTION AS WELL AS ECONOMY IN GENERAL.

SO YOU'LL SEE THAT. THERE IS ALL KINDS OF PRETTY COLORS ON THIS ONE. THE PEACH OR ORANGE COLORED LINES ARE THE LINE ITEMS OR THE PURCHASES THAT WERE MADE WITHIN THAT LINE, THAT BUDGET LINE ITEM.

THE YELLOW IS A CARRYOVER FROM THE 17-18 BUDGET YEAR.

AND THEN THE BLUE COLOR IS -- SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MATCH THESE BLUE COLOR NUMBERS INTO THE 19-20 BUDGET WHICH IS THE NEXT BUDGET THAT IS IN YOUR PACKET. THEY MATCH.

THEY WILL BE YELLOW ON YOUR 19-20 BUDGET THOUGH BECAUSE THEY ARE THE CARRY FORWARDS. JUST A LITTLE COLOR CHANGE.

IT'S KIND OF EXCITING. WE HAD A NUMBER OF EVENTS APPLY FOR GRANTS. WE'VE ALREADY RECEIVED SOME OF THOSE GRANTS THE REIMBURSEMENT PAPERWORK FOR SOME OF THE EVENTS. I WILL TELL THAT YOU WE DID CARRY OVER THREE EVENTS FROM THE LAST FISCAL YEAR.

JUST SIMPLY BECAUSE OF TIMING. THEY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO GET WHOLE PROCESS DONE BEFORE WE HAD TO CLOSE OUT THE 18-19 YEAR.

THEY HAVE TO COME ONE A GAME PLAN TO MARKET TO PEOPLE ALREADY HERE. EVERY TIME I GO TO AN EVENT AT THE FAIRGROUND, IT'S OVER 50% OF THE PEOPLE ARE FROM OUT OF THE MARKETPLACE WHICH IS GREAT. THAT PART OF THE PROGRAM IS WORKING. BUT I THINK ALSO WHERE HE SHOULD PEOPLE FROM OUR OWN LOCAL MARKET BEING LOCAL.

WE'VE GOT TO SOMEHOW MAKE SURE THAT WE EDUCATE DON'T FORGET ABOUT PEOPLE WITHIN FIVE MILES OF YOUR EVENT.

THE FOLKS THAT LIVE HERE COULD MAKE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HAVING A REALLY SUCCESSFUL EVENT OR NOT.

AND THE PROCESS TAKES APPROXIMATELY SIX MONTHS TO GO THROUGH. SO I HAVE INFORMED OUR PURCHASING DEPARTMENT THAT THERE ARE SOME WE'RE NOT GOING TO STOP PURSUING SPORTS GROUPS. WE HAVE THE GOLF TOURNAMENT IN JANUARY. I CAN'T NOT TALK TO AIRSTREAM VENTURES ABOUT SPORTS GROUPS EVEN WHILE THAT PROCESS IS GOING ON. WE ARE WORKING OUT WHO IS GOING TO BE ON THE SCORING TEAM AND HOW ALL OF THAT WORKS SO THAT IS

THAT PUTS US IN A SITUATION FOR SIX MONTHS.

WE ENTERED INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR AN EVENT THEY ARE GOING TO BE
