1. Approval for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office to apply for the following grants: (A) U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) (Local Solicitation) in the amount of $52,108. Funds will be used to purchase hardware and software to further technology of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, and, Green Cove Springs and Orange Park Police Departments. (B) Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) (State Solicitation). The amount of this grant is to be determined. The funds will be used for the Clay County Drug Task Force composed of the Clay County Sheriff's Office, and, Green Cove Springs and Orange Park Police Departments. (C) U. S. Department of Justice, Solving Cold Cases with DNA Grant. The amount of this grant is to be determined and the funds will be used to aid the Clay County Sheriffs Office, and, Orange Park and Green Cove Springs Police Departments in reviewing and submitting evidence from appropriate cold cases for additional DNA screening and investigative follow-up. 4. Approval of the Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), FDOT financial project number 41353018807, for traffic signal maintenance on FDOT roadways. The Agreement term is from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015 and is funded by FDOT @ $73,262.41 for the term of this Agreement. (J. Beck)
5. Approval of the Adopt-A-Mile Litter Removal Agreement with Second Class Association, to allow litter removal along C.R. 220 from near Lakeshore Drive to Swimming Pen Creek Bridge. The Agreement is for a term of two years from the date of execution by Clay County. (A. Altman)
6. Approval of the Adams/Remco wide format equipment rental Agreement for Building Department’s Savin 2406 WD Wide Format copier. Authorization for advance payment and waiving of the Purchasing Policy as it may apply is also requested.
