Approval of the following budget transfer requests for the Sheriff's Office: (A) Budget Transfer #14-146 in the total amount of $2,500.00 to reallocate funds in the Detention ($1,500.00), Sheriff ($500.00) and Sheriff MSTU ($500.00) Divisions' budgets to provide sufficient funds for benefits needs. This transfer is within the same cost center. Funding Sources: 102-4106-523000, 102-4101-523000 & 140-4109-523000 (B) Budget Transfer #14-147 in the amount of $15,000.00 to reallocate funds in the Public Safety Division's budget to cover unanticipated repairs to the 800 MHz Radio Communications System. This transfer is out of contingency in the same fund. Funding Source: 301-9946-599100 (C) Budget Transfer #14-148 in the total amount of $7,129.50 to allocate funds from Sheriff ($2,376.50) and Sheriff MSTU Divisions' Capital Outlay budgets ($2,376.50) to the Detention Division's Capital Outlay budget for the purchase of a transport vehicle. The remaining cost of the vehicle was paid by the 2014-SCAAP Grant. There is an additional $2,376.50 requirement out of the Fine & Forfeiture Fund contingency account because the capital realignment involves two different funds. This transfer is in/out of contingency within the same fund and the net effect to the Sheriff's overall budget is zero. Funding Sources: 102-9902-599100, 102-4101-564000 & 140-4109-564000 (D) Budget Transfer #14-149 in the total amount of $132,500.00 to allocate funds from the Sheriff ($7,500.00), Judicial ($30,000.00) and Sheriff MSTU ($7,500.00) Divisions' budgets, and within the Detention ($80,000.00) Division's budget, to cover unanticipated inmate medical costs which have exceeded Detention Division's budget. Expenses for the month of July are triple the monthly average and are anticipated to remain as such for the remainder of the year. Savings in other areas are being transferred to the Detention Divisions Expenses Other Than Salaries account to offset the increase cost in inmate medical expenses. There is an additional $7,500.00 requirement out of the Fine & Forfeiture Fund contingency account because the capital realignment involves two different funds. This transfer is in/out of contingency within the same fund and the net effect to the Sheriff's overall budget is zero. Funding Sources: 102-9902-599100, 102-4101-549900, 102-4106-516000, 102-4107-516000 & 140-4109-549900 (E) Budget Transfer #14-150 in the total amount of $57,565.00 to reallocate funds in the Contraband Forfeiture Division's ($20,000.00) and Detention Grants' ($37,565.00) budgets to realign the budgets between categories. This transfer is within the same cost centers and the net effect to the overall budget is zero. Funding Sources: 107-4105-516000 102-4106A-516000 & 102-4106A-549900 (F) Budget Transfer #14-151 in the amount of $20,000.00 to reallocate funds in the Law Enforcement Grants' budget to realign the budget between categories.
