MUSIC RELATED TOURISM IS ON THE RISE. THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WAS POINTED OUT IN THE STRATEGI PLAN , ESPECIALLY FOR OUR YOUNGER DEMOGRAPHIC. THEY FURTHER PREDICTED THAT A SOUTHERN ROCK FESTIVAL WOULD BRING IN MORE THAN 30,000 VISITORS TO OUR COUNTY. AND IT WAS INTERESTING TO SEE THAT THEY SUGGESTED COUNTYWIDE PROGRAMS, AND WE CAN LEVERAGE LOTS OF LOCATIONS , NOT JUST ONE. IS IT REALLY FEASIBLE? THE DISCOVERY INTERVIEWS INCLUDED PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTY, SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS. I HAVE TALKED TO [00:35:05] PEOPLE WHO HELPED WRITE GRANTS COME AROUND THE HISTORICAL ARCHIVES, THE TOURISM DEPARTMENT, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMEN TO FIND OUT ABOUT FACILITIES AROUND TOWN AND CITY MANAGERS. I ALSO TALKED TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND ALREADY DOIN THINGS TO SUPPORT ENTERTAINMENT AND BRINGING SOUTHERN ROCK ACTS INTO THE COUNTY. BUSINESS DEVELOPERS, MUSICIANS, I WILL SAY THAT KURTZ TOWN WILL BE INSTRUMENTAL IN THIS PROJECT AND WE SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR THAT. HE IS A GREAT POSTER PERSON FOR THIS PROJECT. ARTS AND CULTURE ORGANIZATIONS AROUN TOWN ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO BE NEEDED FOR SUPPORTING THIS. AND THEY ARE IN SUPPORT OF THIS PROJECT. THE LEGENDARY BANDS WILL BE DOWN. THIS WILL PROVIDE THEM A HOME TO COME TO TO GIVE BACK. BUT IT WILL ALSO PROVIDE US A WAY TO BRING UP ALL THE BANDS BEHIND THEM. THIS CANNOT BE JUST A MUSEUM. WE HAVE SO MUCH OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE SERVICE AND ENTERTAINMENT IN SO MANY WAYS. I PUT THIS TOGETHER AND JUST REALIZED THAT IT LOOKS LIK A GUITAR PICK. I PUT IT TOGETHER TO SHOW A VISUAL. INCLUDING THE WAYS THAT WERE SUGGESTED BY THE TOURISM STRATEGIC PLAN. TO PROVIDE PERFORMANCE FOR TOURING MUSICIANS. WE CAN CATCH THEM AS FAR AS VENUES. AND IN-HOUSE KITCHEN SPACE WOULD PROVIDE A LEASE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO HAVE A CATERING SERVICE PROVIDE ALL OF THE FOOD AND BEVERAGE ON SITE WHICH SAVES MONEY WHILE MAKING MONEY. THE OLD CAPRICORN LABEL AND RICHARD RECORDING STUDIO. IT WAS REVIVED AND THE BUILT A MUSEUM INSIDE THAT FOCUSES ON THE LABEL AND RECORDING. IT FOCUSES ON ALL TH ARTISTS THAT WERE PART OF IT, NOT JUST CAPRICORN. CAPRICORN IS THE LABEL THAT STARTED ALL THIS. PERFORMANCE STAGE THEY HAVE INSIDE, WHICH ALLOWS LOCAL BANDS TO HAVE A PERFORMANCE. THAT IS A SIMILAR THING ON HER LIST. THEY HAVE REHEARSAL ROOM , ALSO HAVE BAND ROOMS FOR LONG-TERM BAND RENTAL AND USAGE.
