WHERE SEPTEMBER MARKS THE 235TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DRAFTING OF THE CONSTITUTION OF AMERICA BY THE CONSTITUTION CONVENTION MAKING IT THE WORLDS LONGEST CHARTER OF GOVERNMENT WHICH STILL TODAY STANDS AS A TESTAMENT TO THE TENACITY OF AMERICANS TO MAINTAIN AND WHEREAS THE ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF THE CONSTITUTION BEGAN IN 1955 WHEN THE DAUGHTER OF THE RESOLUTION.

OBSERVANCE OF CONSTITUTION WEEK. WHERE HE WAS LATER ADOPTED BY THE U.S. CONGRESS AND SIGNED INTO PUBLIC LAW, DESIGNATING THE. JUST SOME THINGS WITH THIS, IT CREATES EASIER ACCESS TO SCHEDULING AND A TIMELY RESPONSE.

I AM SURE YOU KNOW, WE HAVE QUITE A FEW VETERANS HERE AND HAVING ONLY ONE FULL-TIME VSO IS A LOT OF WORK.

CALLS COME IN EVERY WEEK TRYING TO GET APPOINTMENTS.

HAVING ANOTHER OFFICER THERE FULL-TIME WILL HELP WITHOUT.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH. REACHING VETERANS THAT MAY NOT KNOW WHAT WE DO. AND WE CAN REACH INTO AREAS THAT MAY NOT HAVE ACCESS TO COME TO US.

ALSO BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS WITH NONPROFITS.

ONE OF THE THINGS WE DISCUSSED PROVIDING BASIC FUNDING FOR EVENTS. AND HELPING IMPLICATIONS AND THAT TYPE OF THING ON A SMALLER SCALE, FOR ANY VETERAN CENTERED EVENT. AND PARTNERING WITH OUR VETERANS COUNCIL WHO WILL BE DOING THE NEXT PRESENTATION.

THIS IS A LIST OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

VETERANS AND FAMILIES REPRESENT 34% OF CLAY COUNTY'S POPULATION.

WE WANT CLAY COUNTY TO BE KNOWN AS THE COUNTY THAT TAKES CARE OF VETERANS. WE HAVE REBRANDED THE COUNCIL WITH A NEW NAME TO LINE UP WITH THE OTHER COUNCILS.

AND RAISE FUNDING. OUR VISION INCLUDES TAKING CARE OF VETERANS AND OUR MISSION PROVIDES ONE VOICE ON BEHALF OF VETERANS. THIS SLIDE PROVIDES OUR MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS. WE HAVE GROWN SUBSTANTIALLY.

WE WILL CONTINUE OUR EFFORTS TO EXPAND MEMBERSHIP.

OUR MEMBERS AND FORMED THE COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION'S DEEDS AND PRIORITIES AND EVENTS. AND COUNSEL CAN BRING THOSE TO THE COUNTY WITH ONE VOICE. OUR STRATEGY, IS TO HAVE FOUR CONCURRENT GOALS CONDUCT FUNDRAISING AND INCREASE

FUNDRAISING. >> EVERYONE CAN UNDERSTAND HOME TO CONTACT IF THEY HAVE UNMET NEEDS.

IF THEY NEED TO BE WITH OTHERS WITH A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE OR IF THE RESOURCE PROVIDERS HAVE SOMETHING THEY CAN GIVE TO VETERANS. AS VETERANS WE DON'T KNOW WHAT WE NEED BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW WHAT RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE.

THEY CALLED THIS THE UNKNOWN UNKNOWNS.

TRAINERS CAN'T LOOK THEM IN THE EYE IDENTIFY WHERE NEEDS CAN BE MET VETERANS DON'T LOOK FOR HANDOUTS BUT WILL TAKE A HANDOUT WE WANT THEM TO REGAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND REGAIN RELATIONSHIPS. COMMUNITY CENTER FUNDRAISING HAS BEGUN AND WE WILL REACH OUT TO OUR PARTNERS TO IDENTIFY EFFECTIVE PATHWAYS. WE DON'T PROCESS CLAIMS AT THE CENTER. WE SUPPORT FOR MORE OFFICERS AND THE COUNTY. VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES SUBMIT IT BECAUSE SOMETHING HAS GONE WRONG.

IT TAKES TIME TO SUBMIT A CLAIM. BETWEEN THIS, WE CAN EDUCATE AND ENCOURAGE VETERANS TO SUCCEED. THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO PROVIDE ONE VOICE FOR THE MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS.

RECOGNIZE THAT OUR PARTNERS HAVE GREATER EXPERIENCE ESPECIALLY IN GRANT REQUESTS. WE HOPE THEY CAN HELP US FIND QUALIFYING GRANTS AND DOCUMENTATION CREATION.

WE WANT EVERYONE TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE CARE.

AND THAT SUPPORTING THEM IS A PRIORITY IN CLAY COUNTY.

YOU HAVE SEEN THE COMPROMISE THAT CLAY COUNTY PUT TOGETHER AND YOU CHOSE TO IGNORE IT. THE REQUIRED PERMIT FOR THIS PROJECT REIT THE DIFFERENCES AMENITIES WHICH OFTEN ARE LET'S GO BACK TO THE SEPTEMBER MEETING WHERE YOU AUTHORIZE THIS.

THERE IS NO SWIMMING POOL NO CONVENIENT STORE AND NO RESTAURANT LIKE MIKE BROWN SAID A THE MEETING.

THE POND IS APRIL. YOU CANNOT SWIM IN BY FLORIDA LAW AND IN THE WINTERTIME WILL BE 50 DEGREES.

ULTIMATELY THIS ROAD WILL GO OVER MULTIPLE LAND OWNERSHIP SPIRIT BUT BASICALLY IT PROVIDES A CONNECTION FROM 17, NORTH OF GREEN COVE SPRINGS, TO THE WEST ACROSS 16.

WITHIN GOVERNORS PARK JUST TO THE EAST.

AND THAT ROAD IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE OF WHAT WE KNOW WHICH IS THE EXISTING TRANSPORTATION ISSUES.

SPENT FOUR MONTHS IN GAINESVILLE CENTER. I WAS ASKED BY HIS GRANDMOTHER TO LOOK INTO THIS. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE SHERIFFS AND FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL AND THE DMV.

HE HIT THIS YOUNG MAN WITHOUT A LICENSE AND FOUR MONTHS LATER HE RECOVERED HIS LICENSE AND GOT CLUB CALLED RUNAROUND LIGHT.
